LINE AND SHAPE
I took these pictures at my house, I really liked taking pictures of my stairs with the reflection of the sun. In almost all of these photos I am close to the subject. I took pictures 1, 2, 4, & 6 from straight on; I took pictures 3 & 5 from slightly above. All of these photos are vertical. In pictures 3, 4, & 5 I tried to use the rule of thirds. I think picture number 1 is my most dynamic composition, I feel like in this picture your eyes lead through the picture from the reflection of the sunlight and through the rails.
PATTERN AND TEXTURE
My favorite picture is photo 1 of the fire. In this picture I am very close to my subject. I took pictures 1 &4 from straight on, I took pictures 2, 3, &5 from slightly above, I look picture 6 from slightly below. Photo 1 is horizontal and does not follow the rule of thirds because there are no they points to the photo where the lines of third would be in the picture. Picture 1 is an example of texture.
MOTION
Picture number 5 has a fast shutter speed. The shutter speed of this picture was 1/400 second. The ISO was 200 and WB was bright sun. I froze a toe touch jump off a rock. About 5 feet away and straight on. The rule of thirds is kind of present because in the jump my arms and legs would touch the ends of the line. Picture 2 has a slow shutter speed. The shutter speed of this picture was 1/13 of a second. The ISO was 100 and the WB was bright sun. There bodies are blurred because they were jumping. I was straight on about 8 feet away. Shape is used (the blocks are rectangles).
